New York rapper Shyne is expected to be released from prison today, eight years after he took a shooting charge related to the infamous 1999 J.Lo/Diddy club shootout. Shyne released two albums while he was behind bars, including 2004's Godfather Buried Alive, and did a smattering of interviews. It's not known if Shyne will return to rap, but he's been rumored to be joining just about every rap label in the last eight years. [HipHopDX]
