Shyne To Be On Cover Of XXL, Shows Mag His "Rapping" Skills
This whole Shyne is back thing is starting to seem like an elaborate joke. I mean, L.A. Reid paid millions of dollars for the below freestyle, which is just the worst. Eli Porter would straight etherShyne at this point. But still, he's got millions of dollars of promotion lined up behind him, and XXL probably paid a huge sum to interview him in Belize and put him on the cover next month*. I just think that at this point, it would be helpful to know exactly how much of this is meant for us to laugh at. Or how much of this has to do with Shyne eating that gun charge for Puff Daddy.
*- Many, many laughs go out to XXL for that "Last Real Rapper Alive" headline, because, ha ha ha. Apparently XXL thinks we were living in an Inception dream world dominated by rappers like Big Boi, Jay-Z and, fuck, even 50 Cent, and Shyne is our totem who has kicked us up a dream level so we're not in limbo anymore. Seriously, if Shyne is the last real rapper alive, then Jack Johnson must be the last real Bob Dylan alive.
