Shins album now slated for 2007

It looks as though the pressure of being a life-changing band is taking its toll on the recording of a new album. Its now been confirmed that the release of the next Shins album has been pushed back. Again. This time until early 2007. For those of you keeping score, thats roughly 327 times now that the timetable for the release has been altered. Also in case you needed reminding, weve been waiting for new material since fall 2003. Who do these guys think they are, Radiohead?

The band recently posted a quick update concerning the album on their website:

"It gives us great pleasure to say that it is just weeks from being done! We can't leak any details, but we have never been more happy with anything that we've ever recorded before. And we can definitely say that it is due to the fact that we've been given so much time to perfect it. The record is the best we've ever done. We hope that you will agree."

Well be sure to update you on the next delay, as soon as its announced.
