Scorcese's Stones film due in April

Whenever I think of The Rolling Stones and Martin Scorcese, I think of “Monkey Man” in Goodfellas, as a coked out Henry Hill played by Ray Liotta unravels throughout the day while evading the feds, trying to fence gun silencers to Robert DeNiro’s Jimmy Conway and telling his handicapped brother to keep stirring the meatballs. The Stones and Marty just go together. Let’s hope they make magic again in his Stones concert film Shine A Light, which will have its theatrical release on April 4.

The Last Waltz director shot the band for two days at the Beacon Theatre in New York in 2006, and it will include rare archived footage and new interviews with the band. Guest appearances onstage include Christina Aguilera and Jack White. [Gigwise]
