Shepard Fairey Creates Adam "MCA" Yauch Tribute On Sunset Boulevard In Los Angeles

Shepard Fairey, the graphic artist behind the ubiquitous Obey “Giant” campaign and the Barack Obama “HOPE” poster, joins the ranks of artists and musicians who have paid tribute to the late Beastie Boy Adam “MCA” Yauch. He has turned one of Glen. E. Friedman’s most iconic black and white photographs of the Beastie Boys into a billboard (pictured above) that hangs over Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles, California. Its image depicts all three Beasties huddled round a boombox and sits alongside a simple “R.I.P. MCA” message. [EgoTrip]
