Have you made any plans for Halloween yet? It may seem early, but British music fans should start thinking about a costume already, because ATP has just announced a stellar lineup for its Release the Bats show on October 31. The cobwebs at the Forum in London will be well and truly rattled as a mixture of old and new favorites take to the stage.

The headliners are ATP staples Shellac, who will also appear at the ATP New York festival on September 20. Joining Steve Albini and co. on the bill is Les Savy Fav (hey, do you think Tim Harrington will be offering a special Halloween themed haircut?), Om, Pissed Jeans, and Wooden Shjips. The show also sees apocalyptic Rhode Island rockers Lightning Bolt making a return to the live arena.

Audience members are being invited to dress “as something to do with one of the bands,” which opens up some intriguing possibilities. Let’s just hope that no one takes the name “Pissed Jeans” too literally. Tickets are on sale now for the event, and DJ Andy Weatherall will be spinning discs in-between sets. [Pitchfork]
