She looks just like Bob Dylan...

...although it's entirely possible that she still breaks just like a little girl.
Here's actress Cate Blanchett playing Dylan in a photo from Todd Haynes' I'm Not There, an experimental bio-pic in which different actors play the music legend throughout his life. Cate's obviously the glib lipped Greenwich Village androgyne Bob. Further life points go to Heath Ledger, Christian Bale, and others. There's no way the Richard Gere section is going to be less of a stretch.
This will be Haynes third non-conventional rock biopic, counting his phenomenal, still illegal, Barbie dolls as the Carpenters short Superstar, and his not Bowie and Iggy though obviously Bowie and Iggy flick, Velvet Goldmine. As with the latter, Haynes will soundtrack I'm Not There with covers from contemporary artists. Willie Nelson, the Hold Steady, Calexico, and the Byrds' Roger McGuinn will all take tracks. Most intriguing perhaps is Pavement frontman Stephen Malkmus playing with Dylan band member Tony Garnier will attempt "Maggie's Farm" and "Ballad of a Thin Man," with Sonic Youth's Lee Renaldo on production duty. The on paper potential of those seem awfully high, no? [I Watch Stuff!]
