Late last year, Brookyln folkie Sharon Van Etten released the song "Love More" through the nonprofit Weathervane Music, and it still stands as her best artistic statement to date. While her debut album, 2009's Because I Was In Love, showed promise, "Love More" threw out the coffee shop acoustic guitars in favor of an organ drone and some hazy atmospherics to complement Van Etten's wounded voice.
Thankfully, she's including this stunner on her new album when it drops on October 5 via Ba Da Bing! Records. Epic will feature more of a full band sound than her previous affair, recorded in a bona fide studio instead of a bedroom. And if anybody deserves the boost in fidelity, it's Van Etten.
