Rock and soul collective Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings will spend much of the last few months of this year out on tour. The band will be supporting its new album 100 Days, 100 Nights, slated for an October 2 release on Daptone Records. The group has one October show at the legendary Apollo Theater in New York before getting down to extensive touring in November. In other entertainment news, Sharon Jones recently wrapped up a role in the upcoming Denzel Washington film The Great Debaters. Washington directed and stars in the film, which also features Forest Whitaker. Jones appears as a nightclub singer in the film, and will be featured on its soundtrack.
