Influential Riot Grrrl innovators Bikini Kill are soliciting memories from fans, friends and cohorts at a recently launched website. The site will collect and aggregate various reminisces about the group. Bikini Kill was active from 1990 to 1998 and left behind a legacy that influenced female fronted groups from Sleater-Kinney to The Donnas as well as a lasting impact on punk and feminist politics. Post-breakup, lead singer Kathleen Hanna led the successful electronic trio Le Tigre while drummer Tobi Vail has been active in a staggering amount of musical projects while continuing her long running journal/zine Jigsaw online. Bassist Kathi Wilcox has maintained a low profile, while guitarist Billy Karren -- the groups only male member -- has remained just as cool and mysterious as he was during the groups' heyday. Share your Bikini Kill memories here.
