50 Cent’s former girlfriend Shaniqua Tompkins has had a $50 million lawsuit against the rap star thrown out of court. Tompkins has already brought a restraining order against 50 Cent and has restricted access to his son, Marquise. In this current case, she claimed that he had broken a verbal contract in which he promised to buy a $2.4 million house for her and their son "I'm very thankful for this decision," 50 Cent said, unsurprisingly considering the amount of money at stake. "I knew that once the facts were heard that justice would prevail. I hope now that we can put this behind us and move forward with our lives."
Tompkins and 50 Cent have been embroiled in a number of court cases since their split, including a $20 million defamation lawsuit filed by the rap star after his ex made false accusations following a fire in their Long Island home. Meanwhile, 50 Cent’s long awaited fourth album Before I Self Destruct is now scheduled for a March release. [MTV]
