Shady Records Announces Partnership With Brisk

So it turns out the above Eminem/Brisk commercial that debuted during Super Bowl Sunday was apparently only the beginning of a partnership between the two. Eminem's Shady Records and Brisk announced today that they are partnering on a program that "empowers consumers to experience engaging content from emerging music artists via a unique distribution model and non-traditional tools," according to a release. I'm betting that this will include some new kind of way to download MP3s and watch videos from artists on Em's label.

 

Beyond that, Shady and Brisk are also planning a series of events for new, emerging artists that will lead to bigger concerts by the end of the year. One of this initiative's first events occurred on Tuesday night when Slaughterhouse celebrated their signing to Shady Records.

 

It will be interesting to see where this goes from here and if this means even more of a push behind Slaughterhouse and Yelawolf.
