Details coming in on Sgt. Pepper's remake

Tomorrow the BBC will air the first of two installments featuring current bands covering songs from the Beatles' landmark art-rock masterpiece Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. We broke the horrifying news to you a while ago, and now we know some of who is covering what. Here 'tis:
"She's Leaving Home," the Magic Numbers
"Getting Better," Kaiser Chiefs
"Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band," Bryan Adams
"Fixing a Hole," the Fray
"With a Little Help From My Friends," Razorlight
I'm okay with the first two of those, but the last three? Ugh. Bryan Adams? Really? Who let that old grandpa in amongst these young kiddos? Why not just get Ryan Adams?
I could go to the trouble of digging up the link for how you can catch the broadcast, but seriously, is anyone going to listen to this?

Here's a better story line for this anniversary: Apparently "Penny Lane" and "Strawberry Fields" were recorded for this album but had to be cut and released as a single for contractual reasons. It's a pretty tight album, of course, but I'd replace "When I'm Sixty-Four" with one of those two, definitely. Maybe "Lovely Rita" for the other one.

Fascinating watching the documentary on the making of this. The Magic Numbers demonstrate categorically that they can't sing (She's Leaving Home sounds like the Muppets fronted by Kermit's nephew Robin, that bloke from Travis can't hit the high notes on Lovely Rita) can't play (The bassist from Razorlight has a right sulk on trying to get his head around their soporific version of With a Little Help from My Friends, most of the instrumentation for the rest of the tracks come over as leaden retreads) and lack any involvement with the music (The Kaiser Cheifs sleepwalk through their little jaunt).I'm no Bryan Adams fan but ironically (despite the previous commenters reservations) his is the only cover with any real spirit in it.
