With the election getting into high gear now that the Republican and Democratic conventions have wrapped up, President Barack Obama is embarking on a national tour that includes stops at many major television studios. After sitting down with David Letterman earlier this week, he's preparing to spend some time on the couch with the ladies of The View.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, he won't be going by himself. This time, the President will be appearing with his wife Michelle to discuss issues of the day, the direction America is heading in and, most importantly, his family life.
Each of them has appeared on The View solo multiple times. Mrs. Obama has been a guest three times, while Mr. Obama will be making his fifth appearence. In fact, his trip to talk with hosts Barbara Walters, Whoopi Goldberg, Elisabeth Hasselbeck, Joy Behar and Sherri Shepherd in 2010 was the show's highest rated episode of all time. The program's producers, as well as network ABC, are surely hoping that the combined power of the first couple will make lightning strike twice.
Check your local listings to see what time your local affiliate will be broadcasting this episode. It will be taped on Monday, September 24, but it won't air until the next day.
