Second Batch of Bands For SXSW 2011 Announced

    With less than four months to go before SXSW consumes Austin, Texas, for  nine ear-splitting, eye-popping, crowd-packing, booze-guzzling days, the folks behind the festival will keep rolling out the line-ups as long as we keep our lips wet. Better grab a glass of water, and take a swig; the second batch of performers was announced this morning.

    This adds to the strong first-round batch of performers, which has already been announced. With somewhere around 1,500 bands scheduled to play (out of more than 12,000 applicants), there are still plenty more national and international surprises that will be unraveled in the near future. This year marks the 25th anniverary of SXSW. The festival will take place March 11-20.
