It came as pretty good news when at the end of 2008, the RIAA announced that they would no longer be bringing up mass lawsuits against filesharers as a part of their strategy of systematic litigation, but we all should've expected that they would resort to even more insidious methods.
This material's apparently being distributed to classrooms across the country, courtesy of the RIAA. The material includes instructional pamphlets for teachers, parents, and a "Music rules!" poster that includes great tips like "Never copy someone else's creative work without permission from the copyright holder." At least this classroom strategy isn't ruining anyone's life... yet. [RI vs The People]
Both the RIAA and Directv have broken many a homes by destroying there income and then forcing them into confidential agreements where the broke individual cannot report them to authorities for crimes.
Many government officials have bought into defending the practice of suing innocent people. It is a crime to profit off a lawsuit in which you knew the person you sued did not do as you claim. The person sued becomes a victim of crime, of fraud. As a crime victim when they report the crime, government thus far has ignored the crimes of filing fraudulent lawsuits. As a victim of crime the next time you are a juror do to justice what Justice has done to you. Ignore justice and cast your juror vote against Justice Just as Justice has done to you. Justice needs a witness? Ignore Justice like justice has done to you, a victim of a crime.
