Fest mania: hitting the streets of San Diego

And those are some mean streets, let me tell you. You don't want to get an ultra-conservative, San Diego Republican angry, trust me.
No peppy upstart, San Diego Street Scene has been going strong for more than two decades now. This year's incarnation goes down September 22 and 23 at the city's Del Mar Fairgrounds. Acts slated to play the fest include the Arctic Monkeys, Air, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, Elvis Perkins, Ozomatli, Supersuckers, the Killers, Muse, Too $hort, Editors, Dios, and Social Distortion. As always, head to the fest's site for all the details. And read on after the jump for the rest of the groups announced to play so far...
Panic! at the Disco, Slightly Stoopid, Louis XIV, G. Love & Special Sauce, Brand New, The Academy Is..., Matt Costa, Jack's Mannequin, Paolo Nutini, Infected Mushroom, Augustana, Gym Class Heroes, VNV Nation, Fair to Midland, Mute Math, Honeycut, Punk Rock Karaoke, Sweet and Tender Hooligans, Shut Up Stella

Who actually enjoys listening to G. Love? I don't think this lineup is worth the trip down from LA.

Do you not like the Sauce either?

I do not. Especially if it is "Special."

So I'm guessing you'd be more into Too $Short blowing the whistle, then?

Yes. Except I would like to participate in the whistle blowing.

MUSE alone is enough reason for me to trek down to sand my eggos in 3-4 hours worth of traffic.

You're being ironic with that comment, no?
