via Engadget Apparently this whole music phone thing is for real now, even a few months before Apple's iPhone hits the streets. Samsung must have figured having one set of controls for music and phone features was too complex, so they have a normal phone keypad on one side, and a large viewing screen and touch controls for music playback on the other side. Don't worry, it's not a brick - the phone measures at less than half an inch thick. The UpStage, as they call it, will be available for Sprint. Coincidentally, Sprint just announced their music service, which allows for over the air downloads, is dropping prices to the iTunes approved 99 cents.
Downsides? Well apparently you can't use your downloaded tracks as ringtones, the phone doesn't work with all you can eat music providers like Rhapsody, and, at least according to PC Magazine, the interface is a bit clunky. On the other hand, at $150 with a contract, it won't force you into debt nearly as quickly as the iPhone.

That's a pretty good idea although it might be a bit much. Not having downloaded tracks is a major negative though.
