The decibel level on Spike Lee’s Oldboy remake just got louder, as prolific shouter and old school Lee collaborator Samuel L. Jackson is joining the cast in a small role. Though specifics aren’t available at this time, Lee said that Jackson will be in a scene where he is tortured by the film’s protagonist, Josh Brolin. In other news that won’t help this issue at all, Lee said that Bruce Hornsby will provide the score for the film. This does, however, settle the issue of “What ever happened to Bruce Hornsby?” [Indiewire]
