Since 2008, Sallie Ford & The Sound Outside has been winning over the hearts of it's hometown, Portland, OR, with its retro sound of intertwining swinging roots rock, country, jazz and blues with contemporary lyricism.
Recently, the quartet broke into the national indie rock scene, showing the whole country its potential. With its escalated success, the band decided to reissue its 2011 release, Dirty Radio, and add two previously unreleased tracks ("Like A Drug," "Not An Animal"). The new-and-improved album is set for a September 4 release.
To gear up for the re-release, the band shared one of the new songs, "Like A Drug." Led by Sallie Ford's distinguished, robust voice, the tune is a sauntering, blues-tinged waltz complete with a cool and collected guitar solo. The four-piece will hit the road in support of the reissue in September.
