New Sadies album set for September

The Sadies are an arch-prolific band. Last year saw the group releasing a mammoth, guest-studded double live album as well as contributing the score to the documentary film Tales of the Rat Fink. Now the band has an all-new, non-movie related album set and ready to be released. It's called New Seasons, and is scheduled for a September 18 release in the band's native Canada. No word yet from the Sadies' American label, Yep Roc, as to whether that will also be the day New Seasons arrives in the States. The band, as always anchored by the Brothers Good, made it an even bigger family affair by having four other Good family members contribute to New Seasons. The band recorded the album partly in Spain and partly in Toronto with their frequent collaborator Gary Louris. Howe Gelb tickles the ivories on many of the record's tracks. For now The Sadies only have live appearances scheduled in Canada, but we'll keep you posted if they decide to come down here to tour America.
