RZA Joins Tarantino’s ‘Django Unchained’ Cast

RZA’s acting resume is about to get a touch stronger. Variety reveals that the Wu-Tang Clan member has been cast in director Quentin Tarantino’s upcoming Spaghetti Western, Django Unchained. The film stars Jamie Foxx, who plays a freed slave who  teams up with a German bounty hunter on a quest to save his wife. Apparently RZA plays a slave, too, though he’s a violent dude who works on a plantation in Mississippi.

As you might already know, RZA’s work with Tarantino goes back to the director’s two Kill Bill films, which were scored by the Wu rapper-producer. They have clearly become pals since then, as Tarantino will present RZA’s directorial debut, The Man With the Iron Fists. Photo credit: David Shankbone.
