It's comforting to know, and I mean this in the most patronizing, slightly fascinated, 2:32-of-precious-life-gone-by way possible, that Ryan Adams' idea of "viral video" is to take the worst cliches of every Sesame Street episode ever made (bad acting; fortune cookie lyrics; mumbling; pubescent monsters that I sooo can tell are not real; absence of female characters; white people; stoner-growling; refusal to end; et cetera) and combine them. Dude'''s sober now, if you haven'''t heard.
As for his day job, Ry'''s Follow The Lights EP hits the shelves today featuring a reworked version of B-Side ''"My Love for You is Real''" as well as new song ''"Follow the Lights,''" ostensibly recorded for ABC'''s (hit?) show October Road. No word yet on whether ''"C is for Cookie''" made the final tracklist. [Stereogum]
Video: Ryan Adams Kind of has issues, definitely has new EP
