The New York Times published a really interesting piece on Ryan Adams the other day that summed up his fairly public descent into madness the past few years, along with Adams explaining just how far gone he was. ''"I snorted heroin a lot '' with coke. I did speedballs every day for years. And took pills. And then drank. And I don'''t mean a little bit. I always outdid everybody.''" Apparently it was so bad that, acccording to Adams, ''"without exaggerating, it is a miracle I did not die."
