Rumpus, Doggy Star Of Lady Gaga’s “Poker Face,” Dead at 5

If your wildest fantasy involves reenacting Lady Gaga’s “Poker Face” video complete with two enormous, poolside Harlequin Great Danes, you’re gonna have to settle for one dog (and you should probably pick a new fantasy, weirdo).

Rumpus, the Dane on the right, died earlier this month during one of his daily hikes. The lack of physical trauma and Rumpus’ upstanding health for age five make the death unusual; his owner, Suzzanne Kelleher-Duckett, says an autopsy was performed and results are pending. Aside from his success as a show dog and his prominent role in “Poker Face,” Rumpus was also known for his appearances in Gaga’s “Love Game,” “Paparazzi” and “Eh Eh (Nothing Else I Can Say).” He was booked to do a cameo in her upcoming “Bad Romance” video, but now that part will go to his mother, Lava, who was the other dog beside the pool in “Poker Face.”
