Via: FilterIt's been awhile, but singer-songwriter Rufus Wainwright is finally ready to release the follow-up to 2004's Want Two. Release the Stars--Wainwright's fifth studio effort--will see release on May 15. It will be the first album that Wainwright produces himself, although Neil Tennant of the Pet Shop Boys will serve as executive producer and Marius DeVries (David Bowie, Bjork, Madonna) will be in charge of mixing. Here's the track list:
Release the Stars:
01. Do I Disappoint You
02. Going to a Town
03. Tiergarten
04. Nobody's Off the Hook
05. Between My Legs
06. Rules and Regulations
07. I'm Not Ready to Love
08. Slideshow
09. Tulsa
10. Leaving for Paris
11. Sanssouci
12. Release the Stars
As of now, there's not much in the way of tour dates to promote the album. Wainwright will appear at Coachella, but aside from that, there's only a few scattered dates where Wainwright will re-create Judie Garland's 1961 Carnegie Hall performance. Dates are as follows:
02-18 London, England: Palladium [Judy Garland tribute]
02-20 Paris, France: L'Olympia [Judy Garland tribute]
02-25 London, England: Palladium [Judy Garland tribute]
04-27 Indio, CA: Coachella Festival
09-23 Hollywood, CA: Hollywood Bowl [Judy Garland tribute]
