Son of Loudon Wainwright III and Kate McGarrigle, brother of Martha, Rufus Wainwright's next album, Release the Stars, is set to hit stores in May. The album is getting production help from Pet Shop Boy Neil Tennant. Wainwright says he's put a lot of creative energy into the new album, and that he hopes it inspires others to do the same.
No known big touring plans yet, but Rufus was amongst the bucket load of artists confirmed for Coachella yesterday.
