Royce Da 5'9" and DJ Premier collaborate on mixtape
Not to make this the Prefix Hearts Royce hour or anything, but there's more goodness on the way from the Detroit emcee.
Technically incarcerated but out on a daily 12-hour work release, Royce has been working with DJ Premier to crank out a mixtape that will see the light of day on April 10th. (Royce, doing a bid for parole violation, should see the light of day for good this summer.)
The mixtape will be called The Bar Exam, and with this combination of talent, we can't help but get excited. In the meantime, here's a taste of what you can expect.

I'm loving this track. Can't wait for the full mixtape.Guru was a strange cat, no? It's like, there's no way that monotone wins anyone over, and then by the end of a song you're like, damn, this dude is awesome.

as far as the picking up where he left off thing, i'm pretty sure he's being as general as possible...he's rapping with primo, and that's that. i don't think he's trying to step on toes.
