The Roots ready new album

Prolific hip-hop ensemble The Roots is at work on its next Def Jam album, for now going under the title Rising Down. The follow-up to 2006's Game Theory, it will be the group's tenth album. Collaborators tipped to appear on the album include Peedi Crakk and Malik B. The material's sound reportedly leans heavily to the synth side.
