After months of rumors and other events surrounding their 50th anniversary, it looks the long rumored Rolling Stones shows look like they’re coming to fruition. A source tells Billboard.biz that the Stones will be playing two shows at the O2 Arena in London and two at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn this November. These two dates are the extent of the shows for now.
Richard Branson and Australian promoter Paul Dainty will promote, and the source says the Stones will be paid $25 million for the four shows. Not bad for less than 10 hours of work.
This comes on the heels of Jagger telling the London Evening Standard that the band would be playing at some point this year. If news is correct, then fans will have a lot to cheer for.
