Big news coming from England today and it’s not that the national football team has advanced to the Euro 2012 quarterfinal. After months of speculation, Keith Richards has confirmed to Rolling Stone today that The Rolling Stones will meet in July in London to discuss the prospects of having a 50th anniversary concert later this year.
Stones insiders tell the magazine that a 2013 world tour isn’t out of the question either. After the controversial Richards autobiography that was extremely critical of singer Mick Jagger, the band got together in New York and New Jersey in April for an informal week of rehearsals, and to begin work on a documentary that would coincide with their golden anniversary.
"It's all very hush-hush," Richards said an interview with the magazine. "I'm going over to London for a bit, so I'll find out more then."
