Stones, Scorsese hit IMAX April 4

Forming the final third of Martin Scorsese's unofficial music trilogy (the other 2/3 being The Last Waltz and No Direction Home), The Rolling Stones live documentary is coming April 4th to an IMAX near you (insert your own Grand Canyon vs. the supersized pixilated cragginess of Keith Richard's face here). Additionally, the film's soundtrack drops April 1st.

The live doc, film in New York's Beacon Theatre and featuring duets with Jack White and Christina Aquilera, is essentially a straight-ahead concert film, without the epochal end-of-an-era majesty (and coke-crusted nostrils) of Waltz or the in-depth biography of Home. An unblinking Charlie Watts, chicken-dance Jagger, and a Tom Waits-locked-within-Hoagy Carmichael's-throat-styled vocal from Keith can be expected, though.
