It's no secret that super-idiosyncratic pop artist Roisin Murphy had no great love for her former label EMI, and they the same for her. In this interview with BBC6, Murphy reveals that she's officially split with EMI, and that her new album, whenever it does come out, will not come out on EMI.
Murphy does talk about new material, and says that she's been working with producers who've given her a more "urban" sound, whatever that means. She also talks about releasing "smaller packages," perhaps EPs or singles, before she comes out with another full-length release. Listen to all of this Murphy's mouth above.
