Rogue Wave returning with heavenly new album in September

Asleep at Heaven's Gate, the new album from indie rockers Rogue Wave, is scheduled for a September 25 release. The new album finds the band now on Brushfire Records, the imprint of surfing crooner Jack Johnson. Rogue Wave got production help on the album from Roger Moutenot, who has also worked with Yo La Tengo, Elvis Costello, and Sleater-Kinney. John Vanderslice and Nada Surf's Matthew Caws guest on Asleep, and the album is Rogue Wave's first with new bassist Patrick Abernathy, who used to hold down the low end for Beulah. Asleep is the follow up to 2005's Descended Like Vultures, which came out on Sub Pop.
