Roger Daltrey is still open to making a film about the life and death of Keith Moon, but says he needs about six weeks to really get the story right. Though a biopic has long been rumored, at one point involving Mike Myers in the lead, Daltrey says that he rejected previous versions because they didn't capture the drummer's essence. In order to really get the story right, apparently, a writer has to be willing to play ball with a lead singer who, while adimittedly having a front-row seat to the subject matter, also probably isn't adverse to getting a piece of the pie. Perhaps Daltrey's motives are true, but what is truly to be gained by making this film? [NME]
