‘Rocky Horror’ creator not happy about proposed MTV remake

Richard O’Brien, writer of the original Rocky Horror Picture Show, says that he will not give his blessing to the remake, which is being financed by MTV and Sky Movies. Though O’Brien was originally on board as a producer, he has since left the project and says that he is dubious about the prospects for an update. Perhaps the last straw was that the remake is supposed to include two new songs, and O’Brien, who wrote the book, music, and lyrics for the original Rocky Horror Picture Show, wasn’t even consulted about the additions. Though O’Brien has washed his hands of the remake, original executive producer Lou Adler is still on board, and says that the target date for the new film is Halloween 2010. [NME]

Yeah, I'm sure MTV will do a great job of this one. I mean, they've got the original executive producer on board. As everyone knows, executive producers hold all the vision and talent in Hollywood. They're not just mere greedy cash providers. Real World: The Rocky Horror Picture Show Edition
How could that not be well done? Oh, right, MTV sucks at everything except having morons hit each other between Fall Out Boy and 50 Cent videos. BOOOO!!!
