Nintendo-loving Faux-Drummers of the World Unite! Rock Band hits Wii on June 22

Did you feel cheated when you shelled out $250 for the Nintendo Wii and found out that Rock Band wasn’t coming out in the foreseeable future because you wished you could play like the one-armed drummer from Def Leppard like your friends with an Xbox 360? Well, your time to don spandex and sing “Pour Some Sugar on Me” has arrived my friend.

Harmonix has announced that a Wii version of the highly popular game will hit shelves at a store near you on June 22. The game will be available for $170, with a special edition (going for more) will included all of the instruments. Individual instruments can also be purchased.

This Wii iteration will contain 63 songs, but there won’t be any purchasable songs in the near future, due to the limited capabilities of the Wii’s online play system, according to Kotaku.
