Rock Band announces AC/DC exclusive

With the music simulation videogames war heating up, Harmonix and MTV Games (makers of Rock Band) have scored another blow against Activision’s (Guitar Hero) stranglehold on the market: they have announced an exclusive AC/DC live package that includes 18 classic tracks from the legendary band. The package will be available for download from the Rock Band store on November 2 for PS2, PS3, and Xbox 360, and November 16 for the Wii, and will cost $39.88 (a bit more than the $2 a pop for regular downloads).

With AC/DC off the market, there are still some noticeable players not signed on with either game: Led Zeppelin and the Beatles. Obviously AC/DC are small potatoes to those two, but it further legitimizes Rock Band as a contender to Guitar Hero.
