Rock Band may allow me to live out my rock star fantasies from the comfort of my Lazy Boy while hungover in sweatpants, but it leaves me wanting something more. No, I don’t wish I really could play the guitar. No, I don’t wish I really had eight million fans. What I really wish is that my roommate and me’s band (Scent of a Void 2: Electric Boogaloo… we love Norman Mailer and movies about break dancing) could have our own t-shirt. Apparently, Harmonix went inside my brain and stole my wishes, because they are allowing players who uploaded band logos to create t-shirts, keychains, and other merchandise.
If that’s not enough, you can also create action figures of your Rock Band avatars. It’s clear that making money hand over fist on the game and the song downloads is no longer enough for Harmonix, so they felt the need to diversify. For info click here. [Tech Dirt]
