Damn, there is a lot of news surrounding hip-hop acts signing (or potentially signing) to labels today. First, we learned that Nas might be joining Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music imprint. Then, the news broke that Slaughterhouse and YelaWolf have joined forces with Eminem’s Shady Records. Now, Decon, which put out albums by the likes of Black Milk and Shad, has added Roc Marciano to its roster. For those not familiar with that name, he quietly put out one of 2010’s better hip-hop albums, Marcberg, and is a former member of the Flipmode Squad. It will be interesting to see what this means for the New York City rapper in the coming year, such as whether he plans on following up with another record so soon.
