Robert Zemeckis Still Moving Forward With 'Yellow Submarine' Remake, Casts Cary Elwes, Others

Director/professional animation creep-out artist Robert Zemeckis has announced that he has cast The Beatles for his Yellow Submarine remake, most notably Cary Elwes as George Harrison. Dean Lennox Kelly (currently starring in BBC's Robin Hood) will play John Lennon, Shaun of the Dead's Peter Serafinowicz will play Paul McCartney and Adam Campbell will play Ringo Starr.

It's again worth noting that The Beatles had nothing to do with the original movie--they just did the soundtrack. And the surviving Beatles want nothing to do with this one either. Which sounds like the audience reaction to Zemeckis' A Christmas Carol. Burn! [Spinner]
