Robert Pollard injures leg, cancels tour dates

We hate to be the bearers of bad news, but those of you with tickets to see Robert Pollard tonight or tomorrow are out of luck: Pollard has had to cancel both shows due to a leg injury. A post on popular Guided By Voices message board Disarm the Settlers, which was subsequently confirmed by Pollard's manager, contained the following: "Bob tore his calf muscle and is unable to perform the rest of the tour. He apologizes to all you good kids, but he can't go out and half-ass it." We can only hope that Bob's back on his feet soon so he can resume taking his drunken antics across the nation.
