Rob Zombie Is Not On Board With Crue Flick, Sid Haig's Dreams Of Playing Vince Neil Dashed

Last week, Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee told Billboard that the film adaption of 2002's The Dirt: Confessions of the World's Most Notorious Rock Band would be directed by Rob Zombie. This turned out to be news to Zombie, who said while on tour in Australia that he was not attached to the movie. Today, Lee amended his statement via e-mail to say that he would "love to have Zombie direct The Dirt, but as far as I know that's not happening. I haven't heard that anyone's been picked yet. You know, the drummer's always the last to know." Lee did go on to say that Motley Crue's next album would coincide with the film. Perhaps this condition leads to the world finding out that Steven Spielberg would do anything for some new Crue. [Billboard]
