Dust Galaxy is the name Rob Garza, who you may know as being one half of electro-duo Thievery Corporation, has given to his debut solo album. The record is set for a November 6 release on ESL Music. As has been the case on recent Thievery Corporation albums, Dust Galaxy comes chock full of guest appearances. Didi Gutman of Brazilian Girls, Adam Blake of Cornershop, James Canty from Ted Leo's backing band the Pharmacists, Ashish Vyas of Gogogo Airheart, and three members of Primal Scream are among those who collaborated in the studio with Garza. Brendan Lynch produced the album, as he's done for Primal Scream and Paul Weller. Garza says that much of the material on Dust Galaxy was inspired by a trip he took to Sudan on behalf of the UN World Food Program.
