The survivors of the Fab Four camp still seem to have their idealistic hearts in the right place, even if they have inscrutable ways of showing it. Ringo Starr is urging people t0 "...make the peace sign and think, say, shout, sing 'Peace & Love'" all over the world on July 7, to commemorate the landmark occasion of, um...his 68th birthday. Well, with the knocking he's gotten recently, a little positive activity can't hurt. A fierce Ringo backlash from the worldwide anti-peace movement is expected later in the week.
Meanwhile, in other Beatle-related fuzzy-math news, Yoko Ono has overseen a series of remixes of her new recording of "Give Peace a Chance" to mark the auspicious anniversary of the original recording, which was released...er, 39 years ago. In an excerpt from a soon-to-be-posted exclusive interview with Prefix, Ono explains "Well, we can start now and really celebrate on the 40th...whether it's 39th or 40th, this is the time that we need to give peace a chance." Can't argue with that.
