Rihanna has spoken out about her decision to return to former boyfriend Chris Brown following the well-publicized incident between the pair in April. "It's completely normal to go back. You start lying to yourself," she said on Good Morning America."I'll say that to any young girl who is going through domestic violence: 'Don't react off of love.'"
On returning to Brown after the incident, she said: "That's embarrassing — that's the type of person I fell in love with. So far in love, so unconditional, that I went back. That's not what I want to teach people." Rihanna also said she realized it made her a bad role model. "When I realized that my selfish decision for love could result in some young girl getting killed, I could not be easy with that part. I could not be held responsible for telling them, 'Go back.'"
Meanwhile, Chris Brown has also been talking about the altercation. “[People] don't want to see me do anything… they wanna see me kind of, basically in jail,” he said in an interview with MTV. He has subsequently claimed that therapy sessions are helping him work on his anger issues. The full interview with Brown will be on MTV on Friday (Nov. 6).
