Rihanna Cooperating With Police In Chris Brown Case

It has all but been officially confirmed by police that the woman who was allegedly assaulted by Chris Brown on Sunday morning is his girlfriend, singer Rihanna, who was taken to Cedars-Sinai hospital on Sunday with injuries that were described as "horrific" by a law enforcement official, TMZ reported.

TMZ also reported that Rihanna didn't want treatment at the scene, but allowed police to take pictures of her injuries, and then decided to go to the hospital. Rihanna reportedly has deep contusions on both sides of her face, a split lip, a bloody nose, as well as multiple bite marks on her arms and hands.

A person who heard screaming on the street called 911, and Brown reportedly ran away before cops arrived, taking the keys to the car Rihanna was in with him. Brown was charged with making criminal threats, not assault as was originally reported, and still can face multiple domestic violence counts. [MTV]
