Reunited Dismemberment Plan To Make Public Debut On Fallon

One day before much-revered D.C. post-punk spazoids The Dismemberment Plan embark on a 10-date reunion tour, the band will perform Jan. 20 on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, whose host is mentally adding this musical accomplishment next to nabbing the Roots as his backing band in his list of memories filed under "Wait, really?"

While Pitchfork suggests the back could reach into their expansive catalog to perform classics like "The Ice of Boston," "The City," or "Time Bomb," they forget to mention the possibility of a super-slow version of "What Do You Want Me to Say?" leading into a frighteningly frantic rendition of "Gyroscope." Wishful thinking? Sure. but just take the time to reflect on how awesome that would be.

The Dismemberment Plan's 2011 Tour Dates:

01-21 Washington, DC - The Black Cat
01-22 Washington, DC - 9:30 Club
01-23 Washington, DC - 9:30 Club
01-27 Philadelphia, PA - The Starlight Ballroom
