Retribution Gospel Choir Signs to Sub Pop
Retribution Gospel Choir, a band that includes two members of Low, has signed to Sup Pop. Less of a slowcore group than Low, Retribution Gospel Choir has a mellow, emotive sound with rough edges. The band’s debut came out in March 2008 on Caldo Verde Records, which is run by Mark Kozelek (the frontman of Red House Painters and Sun Kil Moon). A new album, entitled 2, will be released by Sub Pop on Jan. 26, and the members will tour North America that month.
