After the release of Don't You Know Who I Think I Was? in 2006, there has been a steady stream of rumors about a possible Replacements reunion. The story usually crops up when a major festival is set to announce its lineup, leading to disappointment when the band is nowhere be found. Given that the death of Bob Stinson makes a true reunion impossible, but bassist Tommy Stinson recently put the idea to bed once and for all. He told Billboard that the band is no closer to reuniting that it was years ago, and went on to say that the only reason the band would reunite now is the piles of money offered by promoters. I'm glad that The Replacements are maintaining their credibility, but I hear Lloyd Christmas saying "So you're telling me there's a chance!" [Aversion]
